Pakistan’s Ṣūfī poets such as Baba Farid, Shah Hussain, Sultan Bahu, Shah Inayat, Rehman Baba, Bhullay Shah, Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai, Jam Durak, Waris Shah, Sachal Sarmast, Mian Muhammad Bakhsh, and Mast Tawakkali etc. carry folk wisdom as well as universal values in their poetry. In addition to the inter-lingual translations of the works of some Ṣūfī poets, translations have also been published by the Academy in other world languages such as English, Arabic, Russian, Chinese, French, Spanish and Persian to highlight their messages at the global level. Translations of such works have also been published in Urdu language so that all the people of Pakistan can benefit from Ṣūfī thought and ideas.
