The Kamāl-i Fann Award is Pakistan’s highest national award in the field of literature, which is awarded to a towering living literary figure for his/her lifetime services. The award is accompanied by a sum of one million rupees. This award was launched in 1997. It is decided by an independent jury consisting of prominent writers of all major Pakistani languages.
