

Islamabad, 15 June 2026: Students of the BS English program from Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST), Islamabad, visited the Pakistan Academy of Letters on a study tour under the supervision of their teachers, Ms. Faiza Ashraf and Mr. Sikandar Seemab.
On behalf of the Academy, Ms. Iram Fatima welcomed the student delegation and briefed them on the objectives and functions of the Pakistan Academy of Letters. She also informed them about the Academy’s efforts, under the leadership of Chairperson Professor Dr. Najeeba Arif, to promote Pakistani literature and support the welfare of writers and literary figures. She highlighted the Academy’s publications, its literary collaborations with other countries, and its initiatives aimed at encouraging the younger generation to develop an interest in literature.
The students visited various sections of the Academy, including the Ahmed Faraz Library, Hall of Honours (Awan-e-Aizaz), Museum of Pakistani Languages and Literature, Faiz Ahmed Faiz Auditorium, and the Academy’s Bookshop. They showed great interest in these facilities and activities.
During the visit, the students were also informed about the formal and informal literary events regularly organized by the Academy. They expressed keen interest in the Academy’s projects and stated that they would participate in the future activities and programs of the Pakistan Academy of Letters.
