Indigent writers who wish to get monthly stipends, send their applications to the Pakistan Academy of Letters. After receiving the application, the Deputy Director (A&P)'s office sends them a duly-stamped data-form which is to be filled by the applicant and to be sent back to the concerned section. The applicant is supposed to prove that he/she fulfils the requirements laid down by for the purpose. Later, the received applications along with the data-form are placed before the concerned Provincial Stipend Committees (constituted by the BOG). The recommendations of the committee in this regard are implemented. Note: The submission or receipt of the data form does not imply that the monthly stipend will commence immediately upon receipt of the data-form. The approval of monthly stipends is subject to the availability of funds and the number of stipends.
